I always say, “I did not find yoga, it found me.” In 2012, on a whim, I decided to take a class at a yoga studio down the street from where I lived, and I have been practicing ever since--it was love at first sight. Yoga started as a way for me to get exercise and stay in shape, but over the years has evolved into a mental and spiritual practice as well. In 2017, my yoga journey led me to pursue a 200-RYT yoga teacher training program under the guidance and mentorship of Kim Taurins at Four Dragons Institute. This experience allowed me to take the time to reflect, deepen my practice, and ultimately discover that teaching yoga was something I really wanted to do. My classes are centered around movement—both the movement of the body and the movement of the breath to ultimately achieve a sense of stillness and calming of the mind.
