Britt Kornmann
Britt has been practicing yoga off and on for 10 years but only began focusing on it in 2015, during a period of transition in her life, both physically and emotionally. After a slew of injuries from college athletics and distance running were combined with some life changing personal events, Britt knew that she needed to make a change to how she approaches the day to day. She found that yoga provided a balance to the chaos of life while caring for both the strength and integrity of the body along the way. Britt completed her 200-hour training in 2019 with Kim Taurins at Four Dragons Yoga and has trained with Kim and Marizol Cabrera since. She loves to incorporate strength and athletic poses when designing a vinyasa class while keeping an emphasis on how the breath can both ease and challenge the movement.
Britt's greatest passion is travel and she has been to more than 40 countries across 6 continents. She believes that travel teaches you to appreciate people from all walks of life and find joy outside of your comfort zone, which is something she brings to the mat with each day. While wandering, Britt is always in search of new studios to practice at and has favorites in Philadelphia at Amrita Yoga and Wellness, the Outer Banks at Village Yoga, and in Belize at Mahogany Bay. She is still an endurance runner and has run half marathons in 14 states around the country in hopes to run one in all 50 before she retires, and uses yoga to balance her conditioning in both breath and flexibility.
